Mid-South Pride's $25,000.00 Challenge

Mid-South Pride presents Pride 2008 - "Many Cultures, One Community" and will take place June 3rd - 15th, 2008

However Pride does not happen without cost, and the Board of Directors of Mid-South Pride is challenging the community to help us raise the funds needed to cover the cost of production the annual pride celebrations.

An example of cost that MSP must pay are: Liability Insurance (3 million), stage, power, and portable toilet rentals, city permits, police services, advertising cost, and general cost of operating the organization. These are just some example of the items that MSP must pay each year.

As published in the May 2008 Triangle Journal we showed that the first 4 years MSP has kept the books balanced and has not gone in to debt. This is a major accomplishment for a Pride organization, and a tradition that we would like to continue as MSP continues to grow.

We are asking for your help, to ensure that MSP is able to pay our bills for this years Pride Celebration, our corporate sponsors on the right of this page are a great support to us, but there sponsorship is not enough, we need you the members of the community. Our goal, $ 25,000.00 by the end of Pride 2008 (June 14th).
